Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 pound frozen store-bought pizza dough, thawed
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 4 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup HORMEL® pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup torn fresh basil

Instructions

Step 1

Heat oven to 475°F

Step 2

Place a 12-inch cast-iron skillet in the oven for 10 minutes to preheat it

Step 3

Meanwhile, roll or stretch dough into a 14-inch circle.

Step 4

Carefully remove skillet from oven

Step 5

Drizzle two thirds of the olive oil into skillet, then carefully transfer dough to skillet, pressing dough up edges of pan

Step 6

Spread pizza sauce over dough

Step 7

Sprinkle with cheese

Step 8

Top with pepperoni

Step 9

Brush dough edges with remaining olive oil

Step 10

Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown

Step 11

Transfer to cutting board

Step 12

Top with torn basil, crushed red pepper and salt, as desired

Step 13

Cut into slices and serve
